How to track the status of Patch deployment using shavlik:

Shavlik protect provides several different method to tracking the methods of patch deployment , our active patch deployment can be monitored using Deployment tracker

Step 1 :  Click on view then Deployment tracer

Step 2: Successfully installed list show the patches are completely installed on the target machine

Step 3 : The other list shows the various stages of patch deployment.

Step 4 : The update speed box update the deployment tracker in the specific time , we can change the time accordingly.

Step 5 : The schedule remote task manager used to view, modify and delete nay deployment that are scheduled for execution on your remote target machine

For example , if any machine is not available on any particular day, this tools can be used to schedule the task

To open schedule remote task manager open manage then Schedule remote task

Step 6 : if you view an original patch scan after a deployment has been performed , this program will automatically update the status of those patches , we can illustrate this by selecting in a patch scan which was performed previously

Go to machine group then results

From the above example , during the original scan first 8 patches shown here, were missing on the selected task machine but now the current patches comp with the status of patch deployment.

Step 7 : Finally we can view the summary information about all previous patches deployment by selecting manage  items
